Aging Workforce - Overview
This page aims to raise awareness of the challenges of an aging workforce. It offers a diagnostic of the demographic changes in the Canadian population and its workforce. It provides a summary analysis of the impacts of these demographic changes on the workforce, the employers and the employees and attempts to dissipate some myths discriminating against older workers. It includes some recommendations for employers and some examples of current practices in collective agreements.

Employees who are between 60 and 70 years old
These employees can apply for a <abbr>CPP</abbr> retirement pension. You have to deduct <abbr>CPP</abbr> contributions from their remuneration until the end of the month before the month that the pension becomes payable.
