Ontario Society (Coalition) of Senior Citizens' Organizations (<abbr>OCSCO</abbr>)
<abbr>OCSCO</abbr>'s mission is to improve the quality of life for Ontario's seniors through offering education programs, policy and research, information, referral, counseling, research materials, outreach and support, self-help and vounteer programs.

Senior Achievement Award
The Ontario Senior Achievement Award is presented to twenty individuals annually. The purpose of the award is to recognize and honour outstanding seniors who, after age 65, have made significant contributions to their communities. The outstanding voluntary or professional achievement may have occurred in any field of endeavour.

Senior of the Year Award
This award gives each municipality in Ontario the opportunity to honour one outstanding local senior.

Retirement homes are privately owned rental accommodations for seniors who are able to manage and pay for their own care.
