Many of these special events take place in Beach Area 1. Beach Area 1 is home to many shops, restaurants and bars and is one of eight provincial beach areas in Wasaga Beach. Nancy Island is a provincially run historical museum in Wasaga Beach. Nancy Island is open in the summer and offers daily regular tours, special events and evening programs provided by Wasaga Beach Provincial Parks and The Friends of Nancy Island.
